Ahmed Musa can be come one of the greatest....a Nigerian legend speaks

Former Nigeria winger
Tijani Babaginda has
charged forward
Ahmed Musa to be
consistent in goal
scoring for him to be
considered one of the best in the game in
the world.
Babangida, who is the chairman of Nigeria
Professional Football League club side FC
Taraba, commended Musa for leading by
example as he captained and scored
Nigeria's lone goal in a 1-1 draw against
South Africa in Nelspruit on Sunday.
Both men, who possess similar
characteristics in terms of speed and the
un
canny eye for goals, hail from Northern
Nigeria and at one time in their careers
played for Dutch side VVV Venlo.
"I am really impressed with the new Ahmed
Musa, it shows that he is working really hard
in his club and it is telling on his form of
late," Babangida told Goal.
"I was in the same flight with him some
time ago and I used the opportunity to tell
him one or two things about his game. And
I am very happy to see him scoring the way
he is doing now."
The former Ajax attacker also advised the
CSKA Moscow striker to work more on
conversion of goal scoring chances in order
to attract the interest of top teams in
Europe.
"For him to really catch the eye of the big
clubs, he needs to continue in this scoring
form, because that is what most of these
clubs are actually looking for.
"I want to say that his Russian club has
really helped to improve his playing skills.
"And by the time he moves to one of the
bigger clubs in Europe, he will be a better
player for the Super Eagles and a big
encouragement to the young and aspiring
footballers in Nigeria and the Northern part
of the country in particular.
"I have done my part and I am happy that
Musa is following in that footstep," said
Olympic gold medalist Babaginda.
